Rhee Taekwon-Do is a traditional and non-competitive art.  The emphasis is on building your individual physical and mental confidence through the study of the art.  Rhee Taekwon-Do is regarded as one of the most comprehensive, dynamic and effective arts of self defence in this day and age.  You will not only learn more about your whole self, but also feel the real confidence of being able to defend yourself and your family.

With classes in nine locations throughout Canberra and Gundaroo, Rhee Taekwon-Do provides a safe and fun way to learn.

As we close the door on 2023 classes, I would like to thank our students, Sabum and Branch Sabum for their continued involvement in Rhee TaeKwon-Do. We held 5 full Action Days, many in class gradings and minted a healthy number of new Black Belts.Our organisation has undergone change and renewal following the tragic events of last month, however our mission remains simple. We will continue to teach traditional, non competitive, unarmed combat self defence. Our instructors will undergo professional development, have new personal goals set to motivate them and continue to be challenged to “always go a little further”. As the Chong Kwan Jang Nim’s for the ACT, Edith and I will always look to add value to your training. You can expect to see us visit every class a number of times during the year. Rhee TaeKwon-Do is a combination of physical training, personal growth as a citizen and improving an individual’s resilience. I recommend a book to you all for Summer reading called “The resilience shield” by Dr Dan Pronk, Ben Pronk and Tim Curtis. The book is part training course and part interesting reading.
